This Reporter Code of Conduct establishes the professional standards, ethical guidelines, and operational requirements that all approved reporters must follow while representing Voyte. These standards ensure credible, responsible, and legally compliant journalism while protecting platform integrity, user trust, and reporter safety across all types of events and coverage areas.
Integration with Terms of Service
MANDATORY COMPLIANCE: This Code of Conduct is incorporated by reference into the Voyte Terms of Service and forms an integral part of your reporter agreement. Violations of this Code constitute violations of the Terms of Service and are subject to all enforcement mechanisms outlined therein.
COMPREHENSIVE APPLICATION: This Code applies to all reporter activities including:
- Event attendance and question delivery
- Content creation and video submission
- Platform interactions and communications
- Social media and public representations
- Professional conduct in all Voyte-related activities
INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR LIABILITY PROTECTION: All reporters are independent contractors, not employees. Reporters assume full personal liability for all actions, conduct, and consequences arising from their platform participation, including but not limited to:
CRIMINAL AND VIOLENT CONDUCT DISCLAIMER:
- Personal Criminal Liability: Reporters are solely responsible for any criminal acts, violent behavior, or illegal conduct they commit while participating in platform activities
- Platform Liability Disclaimer: Voyte bears no responsibility, liability, or obligation for any criminal acts, violent behavior, assault, harassment, stalking, threats, or illegal conduct by reporters
- Independent Action Acknowledgment: All reporter actions are independent contractor decisions for which the platform cannot be held liable
- Legal Compliance Mandate: Reporters must comply with all applicable laws and regulations, and assume full legal responsibility for any violations
COMPREHENSIVE INDEMNIFICATION REQUIREMENT:
- Complete Protection: Reporters shall indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Voyte, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from reporter conduct
- Criminal Act Indemnification: Including but not limited to claims arising from criminal acts, violent behavior, harassment, stalking, threats, assault, defamation, privacy violations, or any illegal conduct
- Legal Defense Costs: Reporters are responsible for all legal defense costs, settlements, judgments, and attorney fees arising from their actions
- Unlimited Scope: Indemnification applies regardless of whether conduct occurs during platform activities or is related to platform participation
ENFORCEMENT AND LEGAL REFERRAL:
- Immediate Termination: Criminal or violent conduct results in immediate permanent termination without notice
- Law Enforcement Referral: Platform will cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations and may proactively report criminal behavior
- No Platform Obligation: Platform has no obligation to defend, support, or assist reporters facing criminal charges or legal consequences
- Evidence Preservation: Platform may preserve and provide evidence of reporter conduct to law enforcement or legal proceedings

Voyte operates with focused resources and operational priorities. While we are committed to maintaining high journalistic standards, please understand that:
- Response times for inquiries and enforcement actions may vary
- We have no obligation to respond to requests within specific timeframes
- Complex situations may require additional time to address
- Enforcement decisions are made at our sole discretion based on available resources and operational priorities

- Provide accurate verification of your access credentials when requested by Voyte
- Respect event policies, procedures, and organizer instructions at all times

Professional Appearance and Demeanor:
- Dress Code: Business or business casual attire appropriate for the specific event and professional setting (formal attire for red carpet/awards shows when required)
- Grooming Standards: Maintain clean, professional appearance consistent with journalism industry standards
- Equipment Handling: Professional, discrete use of recording equipment that does not disrupt event proceedings
- Behavioral Standards: Courteous, respectful, and professional interaction with all event participants, organizers, attendees, celebrities, and public figures
- Communication Style: Clear, professional communication with appropriate volume, tone, and language
Prohibited Conduct
ZERO TOLERANCE BEHAVIORS: The following behaviors will result in immediate disciplinary action up to and including permanent termination:
Criminal and Violent Conduct:
- Any criminal acts, violent behavior, assault, battery, or threats of violence against any person
- Harassment, stalking, intimidation, or threatening behavior toward event participants, staff, or other attendees
- Illegal drug use, public intoxication, or substance abuse affecting professional conduct
- Theft, vandalism, property damage, or destruction of equipment or venue property
- Any conduct resulting in arrest, criminal charges, or law enforcement intervention
Hostile or Unprofessional Conduct:
- Hostile, rude, sarcastic, confrontational, or unprofessional tone when asking questions
- Argumentative or combative interactions with public figures, celebrities, officials, event staff, or other attendees
- Disrespectful behavior toward event organizers, security personnel, publicists, or other reporters
- Disruptive conduct that interferes with event proceedings or other participants
Question Delivery Violations:
- Modifying, editorializing, or interpreting questions beyond their original content
- Adding personal commentary, opinions, or editorial remarks to submitted questions
- Refusing to ask approved questions or substituting unauthorized content
- Inappropriate timing or delivery that disrupts event flow or violates event protocols
Misrepresentation and Fraud:
- Falsifying event access credentials or attendance verification
- Claiming to have asked questions at events not actually attended and/or questions not actually asked
- Submitting fabricated or manipulated video content
- Misrepresenting professional qualifications, experience, or Voyte affiliation
Performance and Quality Standards
PROFESSIONAL EXCELLENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Completion Standards: Successfully voice and record assigned questions with high-quality audio and video
- Timeliness: Submit recordings within required timeframes (10 minutes post-question delivery)
- Accuracy: Provide complete, unedited recordings showing full question delivery and official response
- Compliance: Adhere to all platform policies, venue rules, and legal requirements
- Reliability: Maintain consistent performance and dependable execution of reporter responsibilities
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT EXPECTATIONS:

Challenging Event Situations and Protocols
EVENT-SPECIFIC PROTOCOLS: Reporters must be prepared to handle challenging situations while maintaining professionalism across all types of events:
HOSTILE OR UNCOOPERATIVE SUBJECTS:
- Persistent Professionalism: Maintain respectful, professional demeanor regardless of subject response or attitude (whether celebrity, politician, athlete, or business executive)
- Professional Question Delivery: Deliver the full question with respectful, professional tone regardless of subject's attitude or response. If subject becomes hostile or unresponsive, maintain professional demeanor but prioritize safety and recording quality over forced completion
- Documentation: Record complete interaction including hostile, evasive, dismissive, or non-responsive behavior
- Follow-up Discussion Choice: Reporters may engage in follow-up discussion, debate, or extended interaction with subjects at their discretion. However, payment is only guaranteed for the original assigned question delivery and response. Any extended discussion is at reporter's own initiative and risk
- Safety Priority: Withdraw from situation if personal safety becomes a concern
- Payment Protection: Payment based on professional question delivery and recording quality, not subject cooperation

Acceptance and Compliance
AUTOMATIC ACCEPTANCE: All Code modifications are automatically accepted through continued platform participation:
- Continued Use: Continued reporter activities constitute acceptance of all Code modifications
- No Opt-Out: No ability to reject Code modifications while maintaining reporter status
- Immediate Binding: All modifications immediately binding upon implementation
- Compliance Requirement: All reporters must comply with current Code version regardless of modification timing
- Termination Option: Reporters who cannot accept modifications may voluntarily terminate reporter status
COMPLIANCE TRANSITION:
- Immediate Compliance: Reporters must immediately comply with all Code modifications
- No Grace Period: No transition period or grace period for Code compliance unless specifically provided
- Active Monitoring: Modified requirements subject to immediate enforcement and monitoring
- Training Availability: Additional training or guidance may be provided at our discretion when significant modifications are implemented

Version Control and Documentation
VERSION MANAGEMENT:
